The best time to enjoy our island!

Palma is the capital of our wonderful island and is home to more than half of Mallorca's habitants which is composed of dynamic areas. Without a doubt, it is a city with an infinite number of beautiful places to visit, with a great gastronomic offer, emblematic buildings and beautiful streets to get lost in. In this post we will talk about Palma in September and its beautiful climate.

In September temperatures start to drop on the island. That makes Mallorca in September usually a joyful month, with lots of sun, blue skies and many reasons to go out and enjoy nature, gastronomy and fascinating places.

The sea is warmer than ever, as it has received the warmth of the whole summer, and the atmosphere is still holiday-like. The travellers who visit us during this month can consider themselves very lucky, as the island is not as busy as in summer, the good weather, invites to go out and move around, to do trekking in the Serra de Tramuntana, fantastic cycling and all kinds of water sports.

The average maximum temperature in Mallorca in September is around 27 degrees. It is below the levels of July and August, but still wonderfully warm. There is, however, a greater chance of rain, which must be taken into account when packing.

As the days shorten and autumn approaches, the hours of sunshine increase from twelve to eight. This is a considerable reduction, although it's still good even at nightfall, when the thermometer averages 17 degrees.

It is very important to bear in mind that the Balearic government have introduced the obligatory mask throughout the island. Other measures imposed to avoid contagion are the ban on smoking in public spaces and the closure of beaches from 9pm to 7am. Although none of this should prevent us from continuing to enjoy, in a new way, all the wonders that our island has to offer.
